Slow Dashboard
Slow Dashboard
If the GoVista dashboard is loading slowly, here are steps to improve performance.
Browser Optimization
1. Clear browser cache:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data
- Select cached images and files
- Restart the browser
2. Disable unnecessary extensions:
- Ad blockers and privacy extensions can interfere
- Try loading GoVista in incognito mode to test
3. Update your browser:
- Use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge
- Outdated browsers may not optimize well for modern web apps
Network Issues
Check your internet speed:
- GoVista dashboard works best on connections of 10 Mbps or faster
- High latency (ping > 200ms) causes sluggish interactions
Corporate network:
- VPNs can slow down the connection
- Proxy servers may add latency
- Talk to your IT team about whitelisting GoVista domains
If the dashboard is slow only on your corporate network but fast at home, the issue is likely a VPN, proxy, or firewall. Ask your IT team to whitelist GoVista's domains for better performance.
Large Data Sets
Organizations with many devices or large content libraries may experience slower load times:
- Use filters to narrow device and content lists
- Use the scope selector to focus on a specific store or region
- Archive old content that is no longer in use
- Delete unused playlists and schedules
Dashboard-Specific Tips
- Close unused tabs — Too many open tabs consume memory
- Reduce date range — Analytics pages load faster with shorter date ranges
- Use pagination — Avoid loading all items on one page
Hardware
- Minimum 4 GB RAM recommended
- Close other memory-intensive applications
- Restart your computer if it has been running for a long time
Still Slow?
If the above steps do not help:
1. Check the GoVista status page for known issues 2. Try a different browser 3. Try from a different network 4. Contact support with details about what specifically is slow
Avoid using Internet Explorer or very old browser versions. GoVista requires a modern browser with JavaScript support and good rendering performance.
