Login Issues
Cannot log into the GoVista dashboard? Here are solutions for common authentication problems.
Forgot Password
1. Go to the GoVista login page 2. Click Forgot Password 3. Enter your email address 4. Check your inbox for the reset link (also check spam/junk) 5. Click the link and set a new password 6. Log in with your new password
Password Not Working
- Check for typos — Passwords are case-sensitive
- Check Caps Lock — Ensure it is not enabled
- Clear browser cache — Old saved passwords may auto-fill incorrectly
- Try incognito mode — Rules out browser extension interference
- Reset your password — Use the forgot password flow
SSO Login Issues
"SSO configuration error":
- Contact your IT admin to verify the SSO setup
- Check that your email domain matches the SSO configuration
- Verify the SSO certificate has not expired
"User not found in organization":
- Your SSO account may not be provisioned in GoVista
- Ask your GoVista admin to invite you or enable auto-provisioning
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Lost access to 2FA app: 1. Use a backup code (provided when 2FA was set up) 2. If no backup codes, contact your GoVista admin 3. Admin can reset 2FA on your account
When setting up 2FA, save the backup codes in a secure location (password manager or printed in a safe). These are your lifeline if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Account Locked
Accounts may be locked after multiple failed login attempts:
- Wait 15 minutes for automatic unlock
- Or contact your organization admin to unlock immediately
Browser Compatibility
GoVista dashboard works best on:
- Chrome 90+
- Firefox 90+
- Edge 90+
- Safari 15+
If you experience issues, try updating your browser or using Chrome.
Session Expired
Sessions expire after 60 minutes of inactivity. Simply log in again. If you are frequently logged out:
- Check your browser's cookie settings
- Ensure cookies from GoVista are not being blocked
- Disable any privacy extensions that might clear cookies
If you are the only admin and cannot log in, contact GoVista support at [email protected] with your organization name for account recovery assistance.
