Uploading Content
GoVista makes it easy to get your content into the platform with drag-and-drop uploads, bulk operations, and automatic format handling.
Uploading Files
1. Navigate to Content > Media Library 2. Click Upload or simply drag and drop files onto the page 3. You can upload multiple files simultaneously 4. A progress indicator shows upload and processing status
Supported File Types
Images:
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF
- Maximum size: 50 MB per file
- Recommended resolution: match your screen resolution (e.g., 1920x1080 for Full HD)
Videos:
- MP4 (H.264), WebM, MOV
- Maximum size: 2 GB per file
- Recommended codec: H.264 with AAC audio
- Maximum resolution: 4K (3840x2160)
For the best playback experience across all device types, use MP4 with H.264 encoding. This format has the widest compatibility.
Bulk Upload
To upload many files at once:
1. Select multiple files in the file picker, or drag a folder 2. All files will be queued and uploaded in parallel 3. You can continue using the dashboard while uploads complete
After Upload
Once uploaded, each file appears in your Media Library where you can:
- Preview — View the content in full resolution
- Rename — Give it a descriptive name
- Tag — Add tags for easy searching
- Move — Organize into folders
- Details — View resolution, file size, format, and upload date
Upload from URL
You can also import content by providing a URL:
1. Click Upload > From URL 2. Paste the image or video URL 3. GoVista downloads and processes it automatically
Avoid uploading content with very high bitrates (above 50 Mbps) as some lower-end players may struggle with playback. If you encounter playback issues, try re-encoding at a lower bitrate.
