Setting Up Your First Screen

This guide walks you through the complete process of getting your first screen up and running with GoVista.

What You Need

  • A supported device (Android TV box, Samsung Tizen display, LG WebOS display, Windows PC, or any device with a web browser)
  • Internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
  • A GoVista account

Step 1: Install the Player App

Android TV: 1. Go to Settings > Downloads in the GoVista dashboard 2. Download the latest Android APK 3. Install via USB sideload or MDM

Samsung Tizen: 1. Download the WGT file from the Downloads page 2. Use Tizen Studio or your MDM to deploy

Web Player: 1. Open Chrome on any device 2. Navigate to the web player URL provided in Downloads

Step 2: Pair the Device

1. Launch the GoVista player app on your device 2. A 6-character pairing code will appear on screen 3. In the dashboard, go to Devices > Add Device 4. Enter the pairing code 5. Give your device a name and assign it to a store

Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes. If the code expires, restart the player app to generate a new one.

Step 3: Upload Content

1. Go to Content > Media Library 2. Drag and drop your images or videos 3. Wait for upload and processing to complete

Step 4: Create a Playlist

1. Go to Playlists > Create Playlist 2. Give it a name 3. Add your uploaded content items 4. Set the duration for each item (default is 10 seconds for images)

Step 5: Assign to Device

1. Open the playlist 2. Click Deploy 3. Select your device 4. Click Publish

Your content should appear on screen within seconds!

Make sure the device has a stable internet connection. Content is downloaded to the device for offline playback, so the initial sync may take a few minutes depending on file sizes.
