Supported Formats
GoVista accepts the common image and video formats used for digital signage. Files are validated on upload, so anything outside the supported set is rejected before it reaches your screens.
Images
- JPEG / JPG — best for photos
- PNG — best for graphics, logos and transparency
- WebP — modern format with excellent compression
- GIF — animated or static
- AVIF — newer high-efficiency image format
Video
- MP4 — the most compatible choice; recommended for all screens
- WebM
- MOV (QuickTime)
- AVI
GoVista checks each file's real type on upload, not just its extension. It does not transcode your files, so for the widest player compatibility use MP4 (H.264).
File size
There is a single per-file upload size limit, shown in the upload dialog. There are no separate per-format size limits.
Keep signage video at the resolution your screens actually run — a smaller, well-compressed MP4 plays smoothly on low-power players and syncs to devices faster.
