Adding a WebOS Display
Adding a webOS Display
LG commercial displays running webOS Signage are supported by GoVista. There are two deployment paths: Play via URL (no install) and the USB-installed IPK (full feature access).
Supported Models
- LG webOS Signage 3.0 and above
- LG SM, UH, UL, UM, UR and similar commercial display series
- LG CreateBoard interactive displays
Option A: Play via URL (fastest, no install)
1. Hold the SETTINGS button on the remote ~5 seconds until a small popup appears 2. Enter the quick-access code 8080, then OK 3. Go to EZ Setting → Play via URL (called URL Loader on some firmware) 4. Set URL Loader to On and enter https://player.govista.app 5. Save and restart the panel — the GoVista pairing screen appears
Option B: Install the IPK via USB
1. Download the IPK from the dashboard onboarding wizard (Management > Devices → LG webOS) 2. On a FAT32 USB stick, create an application folder and copy the IPK into it renamed to exactly com.lg.app.signage.ipk 3. Plug the stick into any USB port on the panel 4. Open SI Server Setting (hold SETTINGS ~5 s → 8080), set Application Launch Mode: Local and Application Type: IPK 5. Select Local Application Upgrade → USB and confirm 6. Power the panel off, wait 10 seconds, power it on — GoVista installs as the default boot app
Pair the Device
1. The GoVista screen shows a pairing code 2. In the dashboard, go to Management > Devices 3. Enter the code, name the device, and assign it to a store
LG commercial displays support remote power-on via network (Wake-on-LAN). Configure this in the display settings to enable remote power management from GoVista.
Display Settings
For optimal performance, configure these LG display settings:
- Auto Power On — Enable so the display powers on after outages
- Power Save Mode — Consider disabling for always-on deployments
Network Requirements
- Stable internet connection (wired Ethernet recommended)
- HTTPS access to GoVista servers (port 443)
- DNS resolution working properly
The Play via URL path runs GoVista as a web page without deep system access — brightness, volume, and OS reboot control require the IPK install. Test your content before large-scale deployment.
