Adding a Tizen Display

Samsung commercial displays running Tizen are widely used in digital signage. GoVista supports these displays with a lightweight web app.

Supported Models

  • Samsung SMART Signage (QB, QM, QH, QE series)
  • Samsung SSSP (Samsung Smart Signage Platform) version 4.0 and above
  • Tizen 3.0 and newer

Fastest: Install via URL Launcher (Recommended)

1. Press Home on the remote and open URL Launcher Settings 2. Choose Change URL and enter https://player.govista.app 3. Press Done, then select URL Launcher on the Home screen 4. The panel downloads and installs the GoVista app automatically — and picks up new versions whenever we publish an update

Prefer an offline install? Use the USB method below.

Step 1: Download the USB Image

1. In the GoVista dashboard, go to Management > Devices → Samsung Tizen 2. Download the pre-built USB image (zip)

Step 2: Install via USB

1. Format a USB drive as FAT32 2. Extract the zip so the SSSP folder sits at the USB root (it contains sssp_config.xml and the player as sssp_dl.wgt) 3. Insert the USB into the Samsung display 4. Press Home on the remote and open URL Launcher Settings 5. Select Install from USB Device and confirm (enter the panel PIN if prompted — default 0000)

Step 3: Install via Tizen Studio (Alternative)

1. Download and install Tizen Studio on your computer 2. Enable developer mode on the Samsung display:

  • Go to Menu > System > Advanced > Developer Mode
  • Enter your computer's IP address

3. Connect Tizen Studio to the display 4. Deploy the WGT file

Step 4: Pair and Configure

1. Launch the GoVista app on the display 2. A pairing code appears on screen 3. Enter the code in Management > Devices on the dashboard 4. Name and assign the device

Samsung commercial displays support auto-launch of installed web apps. Set GoVista as the auto-launch app in the display settings for hands-free startup.

Network Configuration

Ensure the display can reach:

  • GoVista API servers (HTTPS port 443)
  • Content CDN for media downloads
  • WebSocket endpoint for real-time commands

Known Limitations

  • Video codec support depends on the specific Samsung model
  • Some older SSSP3 displays have limited memory for web apps
  • H.265 support varies by model year

Always update the Samsung display firmware to the latest version before installing GoVista. Older firmware may have bugs that affect web app performance.
