Screen Layouts (Zones)
A screen layout divides a single display into multiple zones, each playing its own content at the same time — for example a large media area with a side panel and a bottom ticker. Layouts live under Studio > Screen Layouts.
When to use a layout
- Show a promo video next to a menu or price list
- Keep a logo or clock always on screen while content rotates
- Run a news or announcement ticker along the bottom
Creating a layout
- Open Studio > Screen Layouts and click New Layout, or start from a template.
- Set the canvas size to match your screen's orientation and aspect ratio — landscape, portrait, or the exact LED pixel size.
- Add zones by dragging out rectangles on the canvas, then resize and position each one.
- Select a zone and assign content to it — a playlist, a single asset, or a design.
Per-zone options
- Each zone plays independently, so one zone can loop a short clip while another shows a long playlist.
- Set a transition per zone (none, fade, or slide) and its duration.
- Zones can overlap and stack; use the layer order to control what sits on top.
Publishing
Assign the finished layout to a screen the same way you assign a playlist — the device downloads it and renders every zone at once.
Design zones to your screen's real resolution. A layout built for 1920×1080 stretched onto a tall LED will look off — match the panel's pixel dimensions for crisp results.
Very small zones with heavy video can strain low-powered players. If a zone stutters, lower its resolution or use an image instead of video.
