Design Editor

The GoVista Design Editor is a built-in canvas tool that lets you create professional digital signage content without leaving the dashboard.

Getting Started

1. Go to Content > Create New 2. Select Design or Composition 3. Choose a canvas size (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, or custom dimensions) 4. The editor opens with a blank canvas

Editor Tools

Text:

  • Add headings, body text, and captions
  • Choose from a library of web fonts
  • Customize size, color, alignment, and spacing
  • Add text shadows and outlines

Images:

  • Import from your media library
  • Upload new images directly
  • Resize, crop, and position freely
  • Apply opacity and border radius

Shapes:

  • Rectangles, circles, lines, and custom shapes
  • Fill colors, gradients, and borders
  • Use as backgrounds or decorative elements

Backgrounds:

  • Solid colors or gradients
  • Background images (stretch, fit, or tile)

Layers and Positioning

  • Each element is on its own layer
  • Drag to reposition, or use exact X/Y coordinates
  • Use Bring to Front and Send to Back to control stacking order
  • Snap-to-grid and alignment guides help with precise positioning

Use the alignment tools to center elements both horizontally and vertically. Select multiple elements and use Distribute to space them evenly.

Templates

Start from a template instead of a blank canvas:

1. Click Templates in the editor 2. Browse by category (food, retail, corporate, etc.) 3. Select a template to load it into the editor 4. Customize colors, text, and images to match your brand

Saving and Publishing

  • Save — Saves your design as an editable project
  • Export — Renders as a high-quality image
  • Add to Playlist — Directly insert into a playlist

Always preview your design at actual screen resolution before publishing. What looks good on your monitor may appear different on a large display or a portrait screen.
