Wall Layouts
Wall Layouts
Configure how your video wall displays content with grid configurations, bezel compensation, and zone-based layouts.
Grid Configuration
Define your video wall layout:
1. Go to Devices > Video Walls 2. Click Create Video Wall 3. Set the grid dimensions (e.g., 3 columns x 2 rows) 4. Assign devices to each position in the grid 5. Save the configuration
Bezel Compensation
Physical bezels (the borders of each screen) create visible gaps in the content. Bezel compensation stretches the content slightly so that objects appear correctly positioned despite the bezels.
To configure bezel compensation:
1. Open the video wall settings 2. Enter the bezel width in millimeters (measure the total gap between visible areas) 3. GoVista adjusts the content mapping automatically 4. Preview and fine-tune as needed
Measure bezel width carefully using a ruler. Include both left and right bezels where two screens meet. Even 1mm off can be noticeable on a large wall.
Zone-Based Layouts
Instead of stretching one piece of content across the entire wall, create zones:
- Full wall — One content item spans all screens
- Split zones — Different content in different areas
- Main + sidebar — Large main content with smaller info panels
- Ticker zone — Full wall content with a scrolling ticker at the bottom
Content for Video Walls
Create content at the correct total resolution:
| Wall Config | Per Screen | Total Resolution | |------------|-----------|------------------| | 2x2 | 1920x1080 | 3840x2160 | | 3x3 | 1920x1080 | 5760x3240 | | 1x3 portrait | 1080x1920 | 3240x1920 | | 2x1 | 1920x1080 | 3840x1080 |
Timeline-Based Layouts
Change the wall layout over time:
- Show a full-wall video during peak hours
- Switch to zoned layout with different content during off-hours
- Use schedule rules to automate layout changes
Sync Methods
Keep content synchronized across all screens:
- NTP-based sync — All devices sync to the same time source
- Network sync — Devices communicate directly for frame-accurate sync
Video wall content must be created at the total resolution of all screens combined. Standard 1080p content stretched across a 3x3 wall will look blurry. Create content at the full resolution.
