NovaStar Setup

NovaStar controllers power LED wall installations. This guide covers configuration of the most common models used with GoVista.

Supported Controllers

• TU15 Pro — Compact controller for small-to-medium LED walls
• TB40 — High-performance controller for large installations
• MCTRL series — Professional-grade sending boxes

TU15 Pro Setup

1. Connect hardware:

• Connect the TU15 Pro to your network via Ethernet
• Connect the LED modules via Ethernet output ports
• Connect HDMI input from your media player (Android box or PC)

2. Configure via NovaLCT software:

• Download NovaLCT from NovaStar's website
• Connect your PC to the TU15 Pro
• Load the cabinet file (.rcfgx) for your LED modules
• Set the output resolution and mapping

3. Connect to GoVista:

• Install the GoVista player on the connected media player
• Pair the device with your GoVista account
• Set the screen type to LED_WALL
• Configure the resolution to match your LED wall total resolution

TB40 Setup

The TB40 follows a similar process but supports:

• Higher output resolution
• More output ports for larger walls
• Built-in scheduling features (disable these if using GoVista scheduling)

Resolution Configuration

Set the GoVista player output resolution to match the LED wall:

• Example: An LED wall with 384x192 pixel modules in a 3x2 arrangement = 1152x384 total resolution
• Set the media player output to 1152x384
• Create content at this exact resolution for pixel-perfect display

Common Settings

• Brightness — Adjust based on ambient light (indoor vs. outdoor)
• Color Temperature — Match to the environment
• Gamma — Fine-tune for accurate color reproduction
• Refresh Rate — Set high enough to avoid visible flicker on camera

Troubleshooting

• No signal: Check HDMI cable and input source selection
• Wrong colors: Re-send the cabinet file via NovaLCT
• Dead pixels: Check module connections and power
• Flickering: Increase refresh rate in controller settings
